Property Management Specialist
Phill is a co-founder of the now called Lower Mainland Purpose Society for Youth and Families, a multi-service organization that delivers a continuum of programs to children, youth, and families. As the organization grew it developed an alternative school which was a fully registered for kids who didn’t do well in the regular school system. Phill was the Principal of this alternative high school for 33 years. The Purpose Society also offered a daycare for its students which grew from a single location to six and established a formal relationship with a local healthcare clinic to provide healthcare services. As the organization grew and acquired buildings, Phill was responsible for the property management of the organization.
Phill is the co-founder of a 103 unit condo co-operative and served as Chairman of the Board for about three years. It is during his tenue that he learned the skills of managing large-scale multifamily properties to maximize profitability while building relationships and creating comfort and confidence for the residents. Phill received his Washington State Real Estate license in 2017 and began working for Nimbus Real Estate in their Property Management division. He also manages the Pine Creek Home Owners Association which includes 75 homes and all of Nimbus’s properties including warehouses, commercial properties, and AirBNBs.
In 2017, Phill and five friends from college shared about a dream they had to start a nonprofit to help build the local community. Phill being the boots on the ground guy, made this dream come true for the founders and Wildbird Charity was born.
He is extremely talented at increasing donations and leveraging some unconventional ways of raising funds. Through the Purpose Society, he partnered with a bingo hall to fund the nonprofit for eight years before they were eligible for government funding and has helped managed a budget up to $4.5M. He has also raised over $50,000 for the Wildbird Backpack program in the first two years.
